I donxb4t like this at all, it doesnxb4t look nice, I lost all my blogs and photos etc. And I donxb4t have the time to go and change it all. So I donxb4t know for sure if I will continue with weblog

From today Lets Candy is online. I made a simple website for the shop to promote all the things I have in the shop and to show the products and things that happen in the shop. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

A friend asked me if I would to join her to do a cake workshop. Always nice doing something nice so I said yes.Last Wednesday we went to a lady who was going to give us the workshop. It would be a standard cake with flowers. Made with fondant. It looks so easypeasy but really it is quiet a job doing it the right way. I made my fondant pink with flower (roses) leafes around the bottom. Filled with lovely mascarpone and fruitfilling and then I got stuck. When I went to the toilet I saw a photo of Minnie Mouse and she weares a polkadot dress. That brought me to the idea to make polkadots on my fondant. And to finish I put a little bee on one of the dots. Well we had a great evening and the cake is lovely.

I thought it was time for some new friends in the store. So from today there are living some new friends with me during the day. And they are so nice and friendly, eventhough some of them are living in a cage

There’s a little soft lamb standing next to my sellingcorner, and some chicken here and there. And ofcourse the outside of the store with the streetsigne.

And there we have my dear old wooden friend Mr. Scrooge Mc Duck, my good luck charm for sure. I found him on a second hand market and just had to take him home.

And last but not least Pinocchio and his little friend Jiminy Cricket. OK they are living in a cage most of the time, but they live now happily in the shop. I also found them on that same second hand market and couldn’t resist.

They come out of the shop on the other side of the street and walk towards the candyshop. Two ladies in sports clothing. They enter the store and smile immediately as I say :” Just walking of the calories and now you have to get something back?” They just want to take a look around cause it looked so nice from the outside. They love everything they see because it reminds them of the old days. The candystore they used to go to when they were young, having a couple of cents to buy some sweets. They see some candycontainers wich reminds them of their granddad having the same ones years ago. They just love all the things in the shop even the nuts and the smell of fresh baked nuts. Because of the running thing they don’t have any money on them but before leaving the shop they say that from now on they are the new promoteam of Lets Candy

He is standing in the middle of the street, looking en pointing at the Candystore.His father is putting his shawl right but he just can´t wait any longer. He runs to the store and is entering the shop together with his dad.He is a little bit shy when I ask him if he wants a lollypop. He takes one out of the bowl but does not say `Thank you` I say to his dad I bet he just said it in his thoughts.He can pick out some candy and sweets a bag full of it. He didn´t have any sweets for more than half a year cause he did not want to eat his dinner.Not eat dinner meant not have any sweets.But since a couple of weeks he eats his dinner and as some kind of reward he can now pick out some sweets.And they are going to the toystore, that was part of the deal to.As a big boy he leaves the store with a lollypop in one hand and a bag of sweets in the other, he´s going to the toystore together with his dad.

13th of January Lets Candy opened the door. It was a race against the clock, cause we had our holiday of 3 weeks on Fuerteventura ( photos will follow of that ofcourse) but the shopwindows were supposed to be placed during our holiday, but it didn’t. So we came home on Thursday and DH had to place the windows on Friday. After that everything else had to be placed like the floor, the toilet, etc etc. But we did it and the doors could be opened on 14.00 hours.It was fabulous, OK my working hours are now more than 60 a week, but this is such a great job with all those kids coming in to buy their candy at Lets Candy. And all the fresh nuts, people love it. It is just great.

This weekend there were all kinds of festivities in the new Shopping Center. Cause the Candystore is not open yet I still had to promote the shop being opened in January. My way of doing that was having fairytale characters walking around sharing candy. There was Snowwhite, Cinderella and Merlin the Wizzard. And it was a great succes. Kids wanted to have their photo taken with the characters, some of them were a bit scared, others thought it was great. Even some dads wanted to be on a photo with the princesses Because the supermarket had a price to be giving away the keeper of soccerclub FC Groningen, Luciane da Silva, was there to give the price away. Ofcourse we had to have an autograph and a photo

For two days there are living two princesses in our house. They are promoting Lets Candy. Snowwhite and Cinderella. And today they will be accompanied by a Wizzard. Photos will be placed soon. And we met the Knight in Shining Armer, Mel had to have a photo with him.

Well no doggies but windows? Yes. We had to paint the windows for the shop this Saturday. And let me tell you this, I’m never gonna be a painter for sure. Lots of work for that painting job, DH and I have been painting for more than 4,5 hours. But we finished the job and it all looks great. The windows will be placed next Wednesday unfortunately th glass won’t. That will be placed a week later. But the painting is done One window is about 3,5 m wide by 2,85 m high, the other one is about 5,5 m wide by 2,85 high. And there were 2 doors to be painted.

and on our way back there was snow all around is. It took us a while to return home cause of the snow. But still it looks beautiful all white.
